Adolescence and its pains

Abstract

In this paper, the issue of adolescence is considered as a crucial and border subjective experience
as it crosses from childhood to adulthood. In this crossing, the dimension of the relationship between.
the ego and the body and between the ego and the other is especially affected, the psyche being
summoned to perform arduous psychic work. The experience of suffering and psychic pain, in
different degrees, related to the multiple ruptures and losses inherent to adolescence, demands
work analogous to the grieving process, which is closely linked to the issue of dependence and
subjective autonomy.
