The analyst's toolbox: possible interventions in psychoanalysis
Keywords:
psychoanalytic technique, psychoanalytic practice, interventionsAbstract
Psychoanalytic clinical practice requires different modalities of intervention in accordance with the distinct modes of psychic production presented by subjects in analysis. The aim of this article was to review several interventions already well established within psychoanalysis, with a didactic purpose directed toward those beginning analytic work from a theoretical-technical perspective. To this end, a narrative review article was conducted, addressing the following intervention modalities: free association, signaling, linking, translation, construction, transitional symbolizations, and interpretation.
